The Cost Of Inspection and Treatment:

An Active Termite Solutions licensed pest management technician will attend the site and inspect the land within 25 metres of the residence and within the boundary. If Fire Ants are found, they will treat the nest using Termidor - the National Fire Ant Eradication Program's recommended product. Your technician will then provide you with a report, plus submit any required information the the Fire Ant department.

Inspection and Treatment for 1sqm nest: $179

$30 per additional square metre.

 

About Red Imported Fire Ants:
Red Imported Fire Ants are small, reddish-brown ants native to South America. They have become notorious invaders in many parts of the world, including the United States, due to their rapid spread and harmful impacts. Fire ants are highly adaptable and can establish colonies in a wide range of environments, from urban areas to natural habitats.

 

Identification:

Red Imported Fire Ants are small, measuring about 2-6mm in length.
They have a copper-brown color with darker abdomens.
Their nests often appear as mounds of loose soil, usually in sunny areas.

 

Stings and Impact:

Fire ant stings are painful and can cause itching, burning, and swelling.
Some individuals may experience severe allergic reactions to fire ant stings.
These ants can damage crops, impact wildlife, and disrupt ecosystems.
